Willow River State Park

2026 Trail Plan

Brook Trout

Rerouting the hillside trail to reduce the steepness and add in fun features. Approx 3/4 mile of new trail throughout. 

Enhance the entrance trail with more features. 

Bass Trails

Add a Blue downhill with jumps and flow to the west of Sea Bass - approx 1/2 mile long

Largemouth - rehab the trail where needed. Change the route for big berms at the bottom. 

Smallmouth - rehab the trail where needed. Rework the gap jump to be a larger hip tabletop. Rework the bottom drop in and three pack of jumps. 

Add wooden features to Largemouth

Buck Snort

Water mitigation including adding culverts to drain.

Surface hardening by adding sand/cinder.

Downhill section, (previously Northern Traverse) 

  • Add in more features including tabletops and berms
  • Rehab the current trail where needed due to cupping, widen it for alternate lines. 

Bridges on Perch and Bluegill, Sunfish Updates

Repair bridges as needed.

Create a wider platform and remove the trees adjacent to tight bridge turns

Update trail where needed to improve flow and fun.

Increase berm size
